Rose Bowl Parade

We had off on New Year's Eve this year. I went to bed at 6:30! There was a good reason, though. We had to get up at 4 a.m. and go to the Rose Bowl Parade. Here are a few of our favorite pictures.

Missions

The day after the rose parade we went to see the Mission San Luis del Rey






and Mission San Juan Capistrano. We really liked San Juan Capistrano. It was really peaceful.

Butterflys

The last stop on our weekend was at Pismo Beach about 15 minutes from work. Monarch butterflys by the 10's of thousands come there every winter between November through February. Here are some pictures:

Chris Rice

I think that Chris Rice wrote a song for me. It's called "Lemonade" from his Amusing CD. I haven't listened to all the words very closely, but it's got a catchy tune and it talks about needing a bigger straw. He must know how much I LOVE fresh Florida lemonade. I'm looking forward to having some in about 2 weeks!
