Florida
We got to go to Florida Jan. 18 - 28 for our Christmas with Brian's family. We did a lot of nothing! I sat around & drank lemonade and ate. I did get to sit in the sun one day. It was 80! One thing we did accomplish was clearing our land in Deland. It had been 4 years since we had it cleared and the ferns were waist high. Two years ago we had at least 3 trees come down during the hurricanes. We wanted to clear it to cut down on the critter population and make our neighbors happy. We spent quite a bit, but we thought "We haven't done anything to the land in 4 years." It's a good thing we had all the trees cleared as a week later a couple of tornadoes went through Deland! Brian will go see if any of our trees hit neighbors garages when he goes back to Florida in March to get our taxes done.
We have less than 4 weeks left here (we think)! We'd like to go to AZ next, but we'll see. We've really enjoyed our time here, but one of us is getting a little antsy to go see something else. I would love to live here, butwe c(w)ouldn't afford it. How do people pay $400,000 for a tiny "fixer-upper", two-bedroom with no land? We're really glad that we were able to "live" here for a short time, but not pay that kind of mortgage. I'll post pictures of Florida when I get them developed.
