Getting pictures printed
Hey, everyone out there! Since I am new to the whole digital picture world, I was wondering if anyone had some tips for getting pictures uploaded to be developed. I just uploaded 68 pictures to Shutterfly. I thought I'd try them since they're giving out 15 free prints. It's taking over 4 hours to upload 68 pictures! By that calculation, it's going to take me roughly 229.4 hours just to upload the pictures from our trip! I know that I can just take my memory card to a store and do it that way, but I want to go through and edit them. I don't want to sit at the store that long. I have previously used Ritzpix.com, but that also takes a long time. Any ideas?
Thanks, Roie! Good to hear from you!

Karla,
I'm going to try again...am having trouble getting this to publish.
This may not help you but this is what I do. I download all my photo's directly to our computer...we received a CD when we purchased our camera...then I crop, take care of red eye, enhance, brighten, etc directly on our computer. If I want photo's printed, I use...am NOT remembering the name...but it would be similar to what you use. I have downloaded 100+ and it usually takes me a little less than a minute/photo. We do have cable connection which makes it faster.
Hope that helps. I have enjoyed catching up on you and your travels! :)
Hugs,
Roie

Hi Karla, I agre with Roie. Edit them on your computer and upload them to a good web-site. What kind of internet connection do you have? If it's too slow, put 'em on a CD and take 'em to someone's house that has cable and upload them there. We just have DSL and it worked okay. I've used a couple web-sites, but I like pephoto.com. They're cheaper than most. I think the quality's okay, but I might not be as discerning as you. But I also like it because they will print the actual digital size phote (4x5.3) so you don't have to crop them all for a 4x6.
